Sustainability Comes Naturally

Family owned and operated, we take sustainability personally.

We have farmed the land for generations, nurturing the soil and protecting the source of our water. Our ethos is built on safeguarding our climate, caring for the environment and preserving our natural spring for future generations.

Fam land being sustainably managed

Sustainability flows through us

Like natural spring water through rock, sustainability flows through us, influencing everything we do.

Bottle recycling plant

Recycled bottles

  • We have reduced glass content by 25%
  • We use 40% recycled glass in every bottle
  • Less glass means less manufacturing energy
  • We were one of the first companies to use recycled PET bottles
  • Our recycled PET is 100% sourced in the UK
  • Still water in PET bottles has the lowest carbon footprint of any packaged beverage container

Solar panels

  • We’ve invested in 800 solar panels to maximise renewable energy
  • Saving 175 tonnes of CO2, equivalent to planting over 10,000 trees
  • Generating 28% of our own green electricity

Biomass boiler

Biomass boilers

  • Carbon Neutral Biomass boilers provide hot water for the site
  • Enabling us to remove all of the hot water heaters from the site
  • Reducing our mains supply demand for hot water and heating usage by 65%

Energy recovery

  • Heat and air recovery cuts energy usage by 22%
  • We recover heat from our air compressors and use it to heat water
  • Our modern high-efficiency compressor uses less energy than three standard compressors

A miscanthus grass field being harvested

Miscanthus grass

  • Fuels our Biomass Boilers, locking approximately 1,400 tonnes of CO₂ in the soil over the course of the miscanthus growth cycle
  • Regrows year after year for 20 years
  • Fallen leaves naturally fertilise the soil
  • Safe habitat for ground nesting birds, rabbits, hares and deer
  • An ideal environment for worms and insects to thrive.

Tree planting

  • Planted 1,700 native trees to capture 35 tonnes of CO2 per year
  • Woodland provides natural habitat for insects, birds and wildlife
  • Willow trees along the streams improve water retention
  • Protection against flooding and soil erosion

Planting more seeds of sustainability

Our vision is as clear as our water. Our water sources are located within a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), reflecting the protected and exceptional quality of the natural environment in which they sit.

We are committed to being carbon neutral by our own efforts, not by off-setting. We are encouraging greater biodiversity on our land by planting more trees and grasses. We are investing in systems and equipment to utilise our self-generated power, such as electric forklifts charged from solar. We are committed to becoming BCORP accredited.
