Wenlock Spring’s ethos – provenance, style and sustainability, is relevant now more than ever. The Shropshire based premium British spring water brand have redesigned their recycled plastic (rPET), fully recyclable range to illustrate their natural origins.

Inspired By Nature
A nod to both their rural provenance and environmentally friendly ethos, the new bottles bring to life the centuries-old rock strata of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) from which Wenlock Spring water is sourced. The re-designed labels which are now available on their plastic bottle range, showcase a ‘sky to spring’ concept, incorporating the unique rock strata of the Wenlock Edge through which Wenlock Spring water filters. The ancient layers of limestone are unique to the source - which has been in use since 1086 - and give Wenlock Spring its unique blend of minerals and taste.

Investment In The Future
With the introduction of over 50% recycled plastic into their rPET bottle range, Wenlock Spring have invested in a new, efficient bottling line. They can now produce 15,000 bottles per hour and will be up to 18,000 by the end of the year. Wenlock Spring’s whole bottling process takes place on the site in South Shropshire where they recycle 99% of all packaging and use a carbon neutral biomass system for hot water and heating. This means that 46% of the energy they use to create Wenlock Spring bottles is from renewable sources.

Utilising a unique and ancient water source – and partnering this with their multi-dimensional and efficient sustainability operations, they are truly pioneering in their field.
